Inside your Audi vehicle are various parts that help in keeping your ride a safe and enjoyable one. One example of these parts is the Audi Brake Disc. The brake disc or brake rotor is an essential component in your car’s disc braking system that is responsible for slowing down or stopping the rotation of your vehicle’s wheels by means of friction. Most cars have disc braking system installed at the front wheels and drum brakes at the rear, although there are also cars that utilize only disc brakes as their braking system. Disc braking system works by releasing brake fluid from the master cylinder and pressing it against the brake caliper where it pushes against the piston, which in turn pushes the brake pads against the disc or rotor. But in order for the brake pads to work, it must have a surface to grip on. And the part that is responsible for engaging the brake pads in your car is the Audi Rotor.
Rotors or brake rotors are flat, disk-like plates which provide the brake pads with a surface to grip on. When the hydraulic pressure is sent to the brake caliper, the brake pads are pressed on both sides of the rotor, generating heat and friction. Brake rotors are made from iron, and feature highly machined friction surface for better grip. There are also some rotors called vented rotors that have special cooling fins attached between both faces.
Here in our site, you can find a large collection of Audi Rotors for your Audi. No other site has better deals of Audi Rotors than us. We also have other brake components such as brake calipers, brake shoes, and brake discs available at reasonable prices.
