Audi Achieved an Increased of Sales for 2007
The German car manufacturer Audi achieved a rise of sales for its automobiles reaching to 893,600 units. The period covered is from January to November this year, beating the previous year’s record of 833,021 units. The company reported the increase by 7.3 percent.
The drastic increase between the period covered was emphasized in the month of November with over 75,600 vehicles tendered to new owners. This gained 0.5 percent, exceeding the last year’s 75,258 units sold. In the same month, the sales in the European countries in the outer portion of Germany were up by 3.5 percent. The vehicles sold were 28,950 compared to 27,972 in 2006. Between January and November this year, the total cars sold in European countries were approximately 408,200 cars compared to last year’s 376,607 units.
Sales in different regions were improving in which its market in UK achieved a major increase. The November sales in UK alone boosted to 6,981 units, up by 31.4 percent from 5,311 in 2006. The total number of vehicles sold for the first eleven months of 2007 was 96,909. This was an increase of 17.4 percent from the 82,555 cars sold last year. Audi likewise achieved an increase of sales in Spain with 4,383 cars sold in November. It reached to 54,018 units sold between January and November. On the other hand, a total of 232,277 cars in the German market were sold, which was a minor decline of sales to 1.6 percent compared to the record last year. However, the market share in the region was up to 7.9 percent for the first eleven months of this year.
The rise of sales evidently showed a better market development of Audi in the European industry.
