Audi Participates in the Leading Women’s Conference

Audi of America announced its involvement in the annual women’s conference that concerns about efficient fuel technology and taking part in environmental issues. The 2007 event is hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger, the eminent Hollywood artist and presently the Governor of California together with the First Lady, Maria Shriver. Over 14,000 women are likely to attend the event in Long Beach, California.

The 2007 conference theme, “Remarkable Lives. Remarkable Legacies. What’s Yours?” promotes and draw women around the globe to reflect and think about their contribution and environmental legacies. The event will include distinguished speakers like Tony Blair, former UK Prime Minister; Her Majesty Rania Al-Abdullah, Queen of Jordan; and Loretta Claiborne, an award-winning athlete of Special Olympics. Other respected speakers will also be in the event including singer Joan Baez, actress Kirstie Alley, journalist Thomas Friedman, author and actress Jamie Lee Curtis, columnist Dr. Martha Beck as well as fashion designer Diane von Fuerstenberg.

Audi will host the important panel discussion titled “Living Green”. It is intended to encourage attendees to think individual involvement and environmental legacies. The discussion also provides a general idea of different tools and technologies that can aid participants in reducing their personal carbon marks. Dr. Hackenberg-Wiedl, Audi Diesel Powertrain Product Management’s Head, will directly discuss how driving performance and behavior can produce impact in fuel consumption. The strategy of Audi, which is the use integrated fuel-reduction, is one of the highlights of her discussion along with Audi’s high-tech TDI engines and ultra-low emission system that will be displayed at Audi’s booth. Audi’s new Audi Q7 3.0 TDI with very low emission system is the world’s cleanest diesel engine.
