Audi’s Metroproject Quattro Concept

A supermini equipped with a hybrid engine is to be released by Audi. The formally concept car, Metroproject Quattro, is supposed to be near the production of another Audi model, the Audi A1. It will be revealed on October 24 at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The concept vehicle will be powered by a 1.4 liter turbocharged engine able to produce 177lb/ft of pulling power and 150 bhp.

Aside from the raised bonnet and four-wheel-drive, the Metroproject Quattro will include a more conventional and clear-cut framed-doors which is the most evident change in the model. It will also have the newest technology for shock absorber, LED headlights and running lights perfect for daytime driving.

A battery pack is located in the booth, powering an electric motor. This can send a pulling power of 150lb/ft to the rear wheels and provide 40bhp. The Metroproject Quattro rides in 18 inch wheels that go with 225/35 rubber. Another impressive feature of the battery is that it can be charged straight from the mains. Reaching up to 62 miles is attainable by simply using the battery power while driving.

The Audi trademark can be seen in the mini vehicle. It incorporates advanced instruments and other features. The screen in the dashboard comes in various color display.

Metroproject Quattro will be priced at or lower than $25,500.

By 2010, the Audi A1 is expected to be included in the showrooms and will be available in a selection of engines and sort of specifications.
